The term Middle East has no precise borders. The most common definition includes: Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Yemen and the Palestinian territories.

The Middle East has mainly arid and semi-arid lands, with some grasslands and deserts. The reserve and water supply are a problem in several areas of the Middle East, as the rapid increase in population increases demand, making it difficult by salinity and pollution. Large rivers, including the Nile and the Euphrates, provide the necessary irrigation to sustain agricultural activities.
