Distance between the two stations from where the two trains leave = 182 miles
Speed of one train (S1) = 55 miles/hour
Speed of the other train = 75 miles/hour
Now
Time taken by the two trains to meet = Distance/(S1 + S2)
                                                           = 182/(55 + 75)
                                                           = 182/130
                                                           = 1.4 hours
