How do I defuse this until I reach equilibrium across the membrane?? Picture below

Diffusion of molecules occur until both sides have equal number of molecules.
We will diffuse the oxygen and carbondioxide molecules with the expenditure of energy across the membrane until equal number of molecules are present on both sides. Below the membrane, only carbondioxide molecules are present.
Whereas above membrane, only oxygen molecules are present so the carbondioxide molecules moves upward whereas oxygen molecules moves downward until both sides have equal number of molecules so we can conclude that diffusion of molecules occur until both sides have equal number of molecules.
