"A Horseman In The Sky" emphasizes the killer while the Death of Reynolds emphasizes the person killed.
In "A Horseman in the Sky," the author focuses on the perspective of the killer. The killer is the son of the man about to be killed, and this causes enormous conflict in the mind of the killer, who has to reconcile his principles with the love of his family. In the case of "The Death of Reynolds," the image focuses on Reynolds and on the moment of his death. Instead of focusing on the killer, this time we concentrate our attention on the plight of the man being killed.
