Read Beto’s report about his trash project.

Last week, we had to collect our own trash for a day. We put everything we tossed out into a clear trash bag and carried it around with us. That let us see how much trash we created in a single day. This experiment was surprising to me.

I threw away a lot of tissues because I had a cold. I tossed food wrappers in the trash, too. After this project, I decided to make some changes. When I pack my lunch, I’m going to bring my food in bags and boxes that I can reuse.
