The mayor of Lalitpur goes by the name, Chiri Babu Maharjan. Lalitpur is located at Napel and it is known for her beautiful art.

He was born on First of December, 1959 and joined the Nepali congress in 1989. He had Masters in Commerce.

On 27th of September, 2020, Maharjan was tested positive for Corona virus and was afterwards, placed on isolation.

He also provided one lakh to the families of persons who died due to Corona virus.
