A pole that is 2.7 m tall casts a shadow that is 1.56 m long. At the same time , a nearby building casts a shadow that is 38.25 m long. How tall is the building ? Round your answer to the nearest meter.

Set up a ratio of height/ shadow

2.7/1.56 = x/38.25

Cross multiply:

1.56x = 103.275

Divide both sides by 1.56

X = 66.2

Round to nearest meter = 66

Answer: 66 meters
