Personally, I feel that a magazine is best for independent reading as you are exposed to wider and deeper topics. If you stand by your comics, arguing that comic books tend to pique a greater interest in readers, i would beg to differ. Comics are undoubtedly more colourful in terms of language and illustrations compared to magazines. But, magazines tend to be more realistic, it allows you to learn and understand more real world situations much more than comics, which may include a minority percentage of useful knowledge
