“Done packing Linette?”says Mother.


“Yes, mother! I’ll be down in a minute.”


Truth is I’ve been packed for weeks, I cant wait to go to Fifeoraz. My parents are firemasters. In fact most of my family were. But I am a watermaster, which I was grateful for. My parents were the best masters of their class. And I am determined to make that happen for me. That shouldn’t be too hard. I’ve been studying masters since I was 5, even though I just got my masterpower last month.


“Mother? Where did you put my book?”
