We just learned there are two sides to "The Penny Debate" with major points on one side of the debate detailing financial arguments and the other side of the debate discussing sentimental arguments. The side of "The Penny Debate" that influences me most is the financial arguments side.

As a chartered accountant, I can easily identify with this financial arguments side instead of the sentimental arguments side, which are based mainly on intuition.

For finance professionals, value is captured in monetary terms and not based on any other metric.  There is no sentimentality in finance.  Everything boils down to financial effectiveness and cost-advantage.

Thus, I will strongly identify with the financial arguments side of "The Penny Debate."
