Why do you think subsistence economies have historically been unable to cope well with being geographically displaced, e.g. being put on reservations far from their original homes?

Respuesta :

Baraq

The reason subsistence economies have historically been unable to cope well with being geographically displaced is that the native people are attached to their ancestral land.

  • Most of the time, the natives always believed they are fully attached to their ancestral land, both naturally and spiritually.
  • Thus, when these people get displaced from their original land, the zeal to start their subsidence economies again is no longer there.
  • Also, there is no proper system in place to govern their subsistence economy, as they mostly trade in barter systems.

Hence, in this case, it can be concluded that Native people find it hard to recreate the success of the subsistence economy of their original land whenever they get displaced.
