At this point in the novel, Atticus can best be decribed as fair. In the book, Atticus says, "You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view -" This shows that Atticus' is fair because before judging person, Atticus believes that you should first look at the situation from their prospective.

On chapter 3 in the story To Kill a Mockingbird, Atticus gives Scout some words of wisdom when he says, "You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view (...) until you climb into his skin and walk around in it." But later on, Scout starts being mature and  begins to more deeply understand the words of her father. Later on the story in chapter 4 we see how these words are completely ignored.
