The population of a town has been decreasing By 5% each year for the last two years the current population of the town is 1510 people what was the population two years ago

First start with your starting value which is 1510 and then get the multiplier.. to get the multiplier for a precent decrease you have to subtract it from 100%.. once you’ve got the multiplier you put it into the equation and because it’s asking for 2 years ago you make the exponent -2
