1. Does Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs still represent what is needed by humans in today's society? Why or Why not?

2. Where do people learn to disrespect people who seem different?

3. How can awareness of one's and others' needs lead to healthy decision making so that bias and violence do not escalate?

Respuesta :

1) From the bottom of the hierarchy upwards, the needs are: physiological (food and clothing), safety (job security), love and belonging needs (friendship), esteem, and self-actualization. Needs lower down in the hierarchy must be satisfied before individuals can attend to needs higher up.

2) Influences from other people for tons of reasons.

3) Biases distort and disrupt objective contemplation of an issue by introducing influences into the decision-making process that are separate from the decision itself. ... The most common cognitive biases are confirmation, anchoring, halo effect, and overconfidence.
