Rowan is a twelve-year-old boy from Rin, a little village in the mountains. For his age, he is little and skinny. On his little face, his unruly, wavy brown hair seems like a mop, and his thinness gives him the appearance of a walking skeleton.
Rowan is the sweetest of the village's children. He is the only child who can approach the farm animals without frightening them. They prefer my gentle touch and soothing voice to the roughness and noise of the other children.
