The frequency to use depends on the range and distance of signal transmission. There is government communication agency in charge of issuing license in order to get carrier frequency in which the application can work with.

UHF means Ultra - high frequencies which is mostly used in television broadcasting and mobile phone. Frequency range of the UHF is between 300MHz to 3GHz.

Assuming that you have a wireless application you would like to design, build and sell as a commercial product. And you have selected a target frequency in the UHF range.

Most wireless applications make use of radio wave and microwave depending on the range of distance in which the signal will travel.

  • The first thing to do is to determine the distance. Whether is short or long distance.
  • Then get a license from the right  government communication agency so that a carrier wave frequency will be allocated for you.  
  • Determine the side bands frequencies and Calculate the bandwidth

Bandwidth = 2[tex]F_{s}[/tex]

Where [tex]F_{s}[/tex] = sidebands frequency

  • Purchase all the necessary devices and gadgets like transmitter, oscillator, antenna e.t.c
