It is my first day of school, as I am heading out the door, my mom says “Do well, dear.”, with a warming smile on her face. At school, we are taking tests to see where we are at, all of the teachers said “Do your best!” all at the same time, which was kind of creepy. Later, at home, I told my mom about my day, and how strict some of my teachers were. My mom said “Don’t worry about those teachers, once you grow up, you won’t have to see them again.”. Then she just went on and on about her childhood, and how it was just like mine. A few hours later, we got takeout for dinner, I got the steak, I think there was a little too much salt in it, so it didn’t taste that good. A week has passed and I decided to look at my grades, it was all good until I saw a C-. I said “I need to bring up this grade before my mom sees it. She’s always wanted to see me get ahead in life, so I will do it for her.”
