Tips to write an essay:

First, decide which two characters you would like to talk about. Research as much as you can about them, and make sure you understand what a tragic hero is, so that you can better judge them.

In the story where the characters appear, find evidence that proves you opinion of those characters is right.

Outline your essay. Think of what you will say in the introduction, how you will develop and prove your claim in the body, and how you will conclude the essay.

Since you are supposed to contrast two characters, focus on their differences. You can either write a whole paragraph about one and then another whole paragraph about the other, or you can contrast them point by point.

Remember to restate your opinion or claim in the conclusion, but with fewer words than you did in the introduction. Do not add new information in the conclusion.
