2. A pump with a power output of 600 W raises water from a lake through a height of 3.0 m and delivers it with a velocity of 6.0 ms-1. What mass of water is removed from the lake in one minute?
Answer is 750kg but I don't know how to get the answer. ​

Power rating of the pump :

P = ρgQH

(600 W) = (1000 kg/m³)(10 m/s²)(Q)(3 m)

Q = 0.02 m³/s

Mass flow rate of the pump :

m = ρQ

m = (1000 kg/m³)(0.02 m³/s)

m = 20 kg/s

Mass of water removed from the lake in one minute :

M = (20 kg/s)(60 s)

M = 1200 kg
