I'll start from the very beginning.

This is the DNA strand that you gave me:

AAA TAC CCC GTA ATG GCA TAG GTC TGC ACT

In order to turn this into mRNA, you have to add complimentary bases. Remember that RNA does not have thymine! so replace thymine with uracil instead.

Pairings: A-U and G-C

DNA: AAA TAC CCC GTA ATG GCA TAG GTC TGC ACT

RNA: UUU AUG GGG CAU UAC CGU AUC CAG AGC UGA

Important to note: ribosomes start reading from the start codon (AUG) and stops once it encounters a stop codon (UAA or UGA or UAG).

You then have to use the codon chart to find your amino acids sequence.

RNA: UUU AUG GGG CAU UAC CGU AUC CAG AGC UGA

         phe   start   gly    his    tyr    arg    iso    glu    ser  stop

//

Now using the RNA sequence that you gave me:

RNA: AAA GTC GCT CTG AGT TGT TAT

          lys    val    ala    leu   ser   cys   tyr

*I will convert all T's to U's

Sorry it took so long...
