When dealing with conflict, it is best to look for the root issue and target it. Too often we focus on symptoms which allows for the conflict to come back but if we try to resolve the root, the conflict will be permanently solved.

We should also be willing to talk to the other person we are in conflict with. If we aren't there is a greater chance of the conflict escalating as the other person gets defensive.
