The image when obtained from a concave lens of focal length f is magnified up to n times the size of the object. What is the distance of object from the lens?​

[tex] \implies \: \frac{u}{v} - 1 = \frac{u}{f} \: \: \: ......(i)[/tex]

[tex] \text{As} \: m = \frac{v}{u} = n \: \: \: \: \: \: \text{(given)}[/tex]

[tex] \implies \frac{u}{v} = \frac{1}{n} [/tex]

[tex] \text{Substituting the above values in Eq. (i), we get}[/tex]

[tex] \implies [\frac{1}{n} - 1 ] = \frac{u}{f} [/tex]

[tex] \implies \: u = [ \frac{1 - n}{n} ]f[/tex]
