i’m reading this atm, the endless war enables the ruling class to remain in power while the lower classes remain powerless. ... War forces the population to be more and more productive, but all those products are destroyed by the war, so the people never benefit from their work.
This society is maintained by Oceania, Eurasia and Eastasia so that the people in power can control the lower class. There will always be someone “above” and they want it to remain them. They use eachother to produce constant fear in the citizens therefore, the people willingly submit control to them. This is the “perfect” way to keep them in check meanwhile constantly maintaining the past, present and future. Mere children and people are brainwashed into following their desires and compiling the pathway to the parties success. The act of “removing” all evidence of their real opponents, the doublethinkers.
