The Policy of Appeasement was related to avoiding war as far as it is possible, and pacify an aggrieved country through negotiation. This policy was came into effect by the rule of Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain.

The reason it was seen as a problematic policy, because as per the excerpt, Germany was expanding its power by capturing Czechoslovakia, and having lead over Franco-British Air forces.

In this scenario, the policy of appeasement stops Britain from actively working on its defense against air attack, And make some actions to stop Germany from expanding.

Therefore, the Policy of Appeasement, in Millitary sense, was not effective against Nazi Germany.
