the two ratios are equivalent beacuse 4/6 is not like a positive number so 4/6 and 14/21 are equivalent
What you do here is you set up an equation like this:
[tex] \frac{4}{6} = \frac{14}{21}[/tex]
Cross multiply;
[tex] 4*21 = 6*14 \\
84 = 84[/tex]
Sine they are equal, the two ratios are equivalent.
[tex] \frac{4}{6} = \frac{14}{21}[/tex]
Cross multiply;
[tex] 4*21 = 6*14 \\
84 = 84[/tex]
Sine they are equal, the two ratios are equivalent.
