Area of the rectangle = 4x^2+8x = 4x(x+2)

So if the length is (x+2), the width of the rectangle = 4x(x+2)/ (x+2) = 4x.

The length is > the width, so

x+2 > 4x, or

2 > 3x, or

(2/3) > x or

x < (2/3).

Say x = 5/9 which is < 2/3, the length = 2 + 5/9 or 23/9 and the width =20/9, which is logical.
