As I watched out my window, I realized how trapped I was. In a world full of disease and misery, I still try my hardest to remain bliss. I miss the old days. I reminisce on the days where playing outside and having no worries was a thing. Where you could give someone a high five and not think you have Covialitis. Just a year ago, I never would've thought I'd be feeling breathless as I put my mask on to head out the door to go to the store.
On Tuesday, a major lockdown was announced for the entire country. Only one person at a time is allowed to leave their home once a week. Everyone is going insane. There's mass robbing in all the local stores, so there's a shortage on all necessary supplies. Everyone has been laid off of their jobs temporarily so it's hard to provide and pay bills when you have no income. We have no idea this is going to last, but some people think it's the end of the world. I just miss hanging out with my friends. I miss my bestfriend, who was a victim of the disease and passed 2 weeks ago. It starts off as a cold, but then you begin to get boils and eventually your lungs collapse and you burst into many pieces. The rumor is it started from China, as someone ate a unknown creature. The disease is airborne so you can catch it from just walking by someone within 12 feet. Schools are all online, but it's just not the same sitting there staring at a screen of kids, you can't get the knowledge and one on one help you need. I hope to see better days ahead of my country and I hope everyone finds a peace of mind. I wonder where this journey will take us from here.
