Chlorine Phosgene was a huge part of World War I. Chemical gas was an entirely new concept that had not yet been discussed or researched thoroughly. Chlorine gas killed masses of people at one time and made it extremely easy to kill people. During the war this was extremely deadly and only became worse after it was more developed.
