The theme would pretty much be the same words as said in the question, just in your own words. (But make it seem better. That wouldn't be the exact theme; it would be more about why we shouldn't allow such things to happen, and ways to be better than that.) I don't really know how to answer the question correctly, but I guess this is a way of trying to understand it.
