Yellow journalism was the act of writing fake news and insane headlines in the hopes of getting reads and gaining popularity. A prime example was the Spanish-American War, where yellow journalists wrote bad news on Spain and increased tension by suggesting a war was going to begin even before the war was officially declared! It is good to get news from multiple perspectives in order to tell whether the news is sound or not, if you read from different people you can notice differences and similarities. Classified information is very-high secret and generally not shared with the public to avoid a breach of privacy. An example is a government weapon blueprint, releasing that to the public would be absurd! Surely, someone would create their own and who knows what would happen.
