I'm using all my points because this is important.
This isn't a school question but please don't report.
I was sitting on my couch with my legs crossed, I had to get up because my mom needed me, but when I got up my legs were asleep. I'm used to this so I ignored it; when I started walking I couldn't feel one of my legs only pin and needles sandy feeling and I took another step not realizing my foot was pointed in a tiptoe type shape and I stepped down. my foot went sideways and I heard and felt a crack. instantly I could walk or have any of my weight on my foot, also my ankle is swollen and I can't move my toes. I'm not home alone so I crawled my way up to my mom's room and told her but she said im fine and to just put some ice on it so I crawled and hopped my way back downstairs and put ice and did that whole RICE thing they thought in health. it's been 2-3 hours and my ankle's swelling went down for a little bit but as soon as I got rid of the ice pack it started swelling again and the pain is pretty much unbearable. I don't think it's broken because i dont see any bone or protrusion i think... but maybe a small fracture.
I want to tell my mom to get up and help me but i dont want to risk it being nothing even if it feels like something.
this freaking fake account probably is going to be deleted for breaking rules or whatever but idec anymore, oh i dont have a phone either rn because im grounded

Answer:

If your ankle still hurts then its probably a sprained ankle

Explanation:

Some symptoms of a sprained ankle:

~Swelling

~Tenderness

~Bruising

~Pain

~Inability to put weight on the affected ankle

~Skin discoloration

~Stiffness

A sprain occurs when your ankle is forced to move out of its normal position, which can cause one or more of the ankle's ligaments to stretch, partially tear or tear completely.

Causes of a sprained ankle might include:

~Falling on your ankle causing it to twist~

~Jumping awkwardly and landing on your foot

~Walking or exercising on an uneven surface

~An accident during sports

 The risk factors include:

~Walking or running on uneven surfaces

~Wearing shoes that do not fit properly

~Participating in sports such as foot ball, tennis, basket ball etc

Failing to treat a sprained ankle properly, engaging in activities too soon after spraining your ankle or spraining your ankle repeatedly might lead to the following complications:

~Chronic ankle Pain

~Chronic ankle joint instability

~Arthritis in the ankle joint

So you should probably go to the docter
