The locations and sizes of places around the world are all different. In a place such as Houston, Texas, there are statues or stones with writings on them that are inside of large parks. If you visited the Caribbean you would see these monuments but instead of anyone who made a change, they only honored those who weren't enslaved. People who are shown in these monuments are people who where courageous and tough. Some might show how they got freedom, rights, and even equality. When I see these monuments it reminds me of how brave these people were and why I should pay respects to the people who fought back and escaped from their pain and suffering.

In London, they are smaller monuments including only statues or sculptures. In the Caribbean, the monuments are dedicated more to leaders of revolts than to enslaved peoples. The people shown in the monuments are shown as brave and strong. The sculpture in Delaware, Unwavering Courage in the Pursuit of Freedom, shows enslaved peoples determined to escape to find their freedom.I feel glad that we ended slavery, and that we honor the people who struggled to escape it and end it.
