Linear Equations of Vertical Lines
Linear equations are typically organized in slope-intercept form:

- m = slope
- b = y-intercept (the value of y when the line passes through the y-axis)
However, for vertical line equations, we write them a little differently:
[tex]x=d[/tex]
- d = the x-intercept (the value of x when the line passes through the x-axis)
We write equations for vertical lines like this because they might not always have a y-intercept.
