Scientific advancements have contributed to these changes are as follows:
- The discovery of new species means that previously existing species became outdated.
- When scientists find new animals or species, the previous systems become obsolete due to the new and latest addition.
- The new species also has to be added to the classification. Thus, when new species are found, the new DNA or features also needs to be added to the classification.
- This requires and demands a complete change in the previously existing system.
- That is why the classification system of animals has changed over time.
