I'd rather be able to time travel since it would allow me to go back in time or even to the future and view past and future occurrences. If I could travel in time, I would go back to a time before humans, around 80 million years ago, to witness a world without humans. And to see dinosaurs, of course. But my assumption is that I'd arrive and find no dinosaurs, or that if I did, they'd be eating grass and I'd remember that dinosaurs were just animals. But also if I could time travel it would be really cool to go to the future and see what it's like. Imagine going only 30 years into the future. The world might be totally different. And of course, it would be tempting to just go for it and choose 500 years, 1,000 years, or even something ridiculous like 50,000 years in the future. But my concern is A) that humanity will no longer exist, which would be so depressing; B) that I'll learn of our downfall or something else that will ruin the rest of my life in the present; and C) that I simply won't be able to comprehend the world then, and I'll spend the entire day baffled and confused and just not get it.
