A child jumps from a moving sled with a speed of 2.2 m/s and in the direction opposite the sled's motion. The sled continues to move in the forward direction, but with a new speed of 5.5 m/s. If the child has a mass of 38 kg and the sled has a mass 68 kg, what is the initial velocity of the sled?​

p=mv , m1*v1 = m2*v2 , 2.2*38 = 68*v2 -> v2=1.23 , vf=vi+v2 -> vi=vf-v2 -> vi=5.5-1.23=4.27
