Absolutism is a form of government where all power is in the hands of a single ruler. In addition to being a tyrannical and dictatorial government, it exercises all 3 powers in one. The 3 powers are: executive, legislative and judiciary. In absolutism these powers are in the hands of the monarch, if he wants to create a law out of nothing, he goes there and does it. But this government doesn't work anymore (in fact it never did), it concentrates power in a single place and at one point it doesn't work anymore, because problems appear, like the one that led to the French Revolution. This government left the population with a great economic crisis, this caused revolts to happen and this government to fall.
