Unfortunately, alcohol consumption is common in college students. Studies reveal 80% of college students drink alcohol. Moreover, at least 50% fall in to the category of binge driking, which means their consumption is high in a short time.
In the case of females, binge drinking would apply to female students drinking more than 4 drinks in one occassion. Moreover, it seems the alcohol consumption in female students is sligthly higher than the one is male students.
Based on the above, it is expected at least 50% of the female college students drink more than 4 drinks per ocassion and more than 1 ocassion per week, which is higher than regular consumption.
