These business leaders work for a variety of businesses, including nonprofit, for-profit, hybrid, large, small, new, and old.
The "social sector" is made up of these organisations. The very fact that social entrepreneurship contains such much potential makes it an enticing concept. The promise of social entrepreneurship will be broken if too many "nonentrepreneurial" endeavours are incorporated into the definition, which will result in the loss of the core of true social entrepreneurship.
