These business leaders work for a variety of businesses, including nonprofit, for-profit, hybrid, large, small, new, and old.

The promise of social entrepreneurship will be broken if too many "nonentrepreneurial" endeavours are incorporated into the definition, which will result in the loss of the core of true social entrepreneurship.
