Dionysus tricks king Cadmus into accompanying him to mount Cithaeron.
Cadmus, king of Thebes, abdicated for reasons of age in favor of his grandson Pentheus. Pentheus immediately forbade the worship of the god Dionysus, son of his aunt Semele, and forbade the Cadmean women from participating in his rites.
Dionysus was originally the Greek god of fertility. He later became known primarily as the god of wine and indulgence.
When the party-loving King Pentheus refuses to acknowledge Dionysus as a god, D-Man retaliates by angering the town's women, and runs into the woods of Mount Cithaeron, plucking Dionysus's Wilds powered by his wine. Enjoy the basic rituals you do.
