What kinds of topics interest you? Music? Psychology? Animals? Think about the careers involved in those interests How might the ability to sign and work with the Deaf Community be an asset to someone in that career field ? For instance , if you had an interest in psychology , how awesome would it be to be fluent in ASL and be able to treat Deaf patients in their own language !? To allow them to share their needs directly without involving a stranger ( interpreter ) in their private information ? What about instead of just working with animals at a vet , you worked with an organization that trained service animals for the Deaf ? ASL can pair up with so many different fields . List a few occupations that align with your interests and then explain how being fluent in ASL might enhance the career or change the work of the job all together
