The ways that jericho and Catal huyuk are alike is that  the ancient cities of Jericho and that of  Çatalhöyük are said to be  two of the first ever  trading towns and also the  first large ancient cities.

Note that Both Jericho and Çatal Hüyük were known to be very big in times of the  Neolithic proto-city settlements, and it is one that have existed from about  7100 BCE to 5700 BCE, and is said to have also  flourished around 7000 BCE.
