Signals from V1 are processed by the second visual area (V2), which is followed by cells located in sub compartments ("globs") inside the posterior inferior temporal (PIT) cortex, a brain region that includes area V4 and brain regions immediately anterior to V4.

Thus the color of the lime is detected by area V4.
