The lines from 710-1007, had described the outcome of the battle between Grendel and Beowulf.
The Beowulf is being divided into three main parts, as,
in which which a hero struggled against three monsters which were called,
Grendel, Grendel’s mother, then a dragon.
Beowulf had summoned much greater strength and rips of the Grendel's arm completely out of its socket. Deadly wounded, Grendel had slinked back to his muddy home and died.
Beowulf holds up his gory trophy in mastery and he proudly hanged the arm high on the wall of Heorot to showcase his victory to everyone.
The narrator had briefly mentioned that the trophy arm, which was being be made up of “barbed steel,” had disproven the Unferth's claims of Beowulf’s weakness.
The great hall had been restored by Danes, as the hall has been destroyed by the following incident.
