An interest group is an organization of individuals who share a common goal and unite for the purpose of influencing government decisions.
The individuals of this group are aimed to achieve their goal by applying pressure (lobbying) on the government to change their policies that may be affecting the members of the group abruptly. Most of these groups do not form for any political purposes. They develop for social, financial, professional and business benefits for their group members.
Some of the types of interest groups are as follows:

3. Government interest groups
4. Equal opportunity interest group
