Behaviors that would not be offenses when engaged in by adults are called status offenses.
Status offense is an act or conduct that would not be considered a crime if committed by an underage adult or a minor. Some of these acts include consuming alcohol or tobacco, practicing unsafe sex, violating a law, or being aggressive with the parents.
Juvenile delinquency is the term given to the participation of minors in some status offense. Juveniles are the minor age adults who indulge in such practices out of a feeling of neglect.
