The dead's remains are kept in tombs as a place of rest. It refers to any architecturally enclosed burial chamber or burying room, which might range in size.

The Taj Mahal, also known as the Luminous Tomb in early Mughal writings, was built as a consequence of Shah Jahan's efforts, resources, and love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal.
