Lawrence Kohlberg was an associate degree American scientist who was born on 25 October,1927 and is well-known for his theory of stages of ethical development. Preconventional level comes after six stages of his theory.

Preconventional morality is that the 1st stage of ethical development, and lasts till or so age nine. At the preconventional level youngsters do not have a private code of morality, and instead ethical selections are formed by the standards of adults and therefore the consequences of following or breaking their rules.
