Categories can help us navigate the world around us. At the grocery store, for
example, the items in each aisle are organized by category to make things easier
to find.
Can you think of a time when you categorized quantities in math? How did the
categories help you better understand the concept? As you were categorizing,
did you ever feel that you needed an additional category?

Respuesta :

A time I categorized quantities in math was actually when I wanted to get the names of students and the number of both the males and females. I had to categorize them into their different genders.

What is categorization?

Categorization is actually known to be a way of placing or grouping items or things into categories, groups or classes. Categorizing things makes it easy to identify data and also to process data properly.

When I placed things in categories, it was easy for me locate them and also get to know the number of males and females available in the class.

When I was categorizing, I felt I needed additional categorizing. I felt like adding the "Date of Birth" category for all the students. I also felt like adding their "State of Origin".
