Continued scarcity is a reality. Although there are more goods and services produced now than ever before, the growth in consumer demands is outpacing the growth in economic resources. People continue to want more goods than what is feasible given the existing resources.
Wants are always evolving and growing over time. There aren't enough resources when people have to make decisions about what to buy, what to study, what professions to take, and what things to manufacture. As customers, we are restricted in what we can purchase. We have limited incomes. Students have to select which courses to study.
